I loved watching Todd return punts.

Probably my all-time favorite Tiger.

Returning kicks: Kinchen, Kinneson, and Honey Badger…all elite and you never knew if it was going to be 60 yards backwards and sideways, to the house, or both.

The Krewe Of Curley. I still remember the schedule posters.

That touchdown against Texas A&M was classic Kinchen and a classic Jim Hawthorn call.

Todd is an awesome human being.
Love that guy.

The teams were afflicted with the worst coaches in LSU history. Specifically, Hudson fricking Hallman. Now, THAT was one awful human being.

Graduated with Todd in 87 from Trafton and saw him a couple of weeks ago. He seriously looks like he could still play today. Also played basketball at LSU for a short time.

There was another Kinchen brother with he and Brian; Cal who was supposedly the best athlete of the three but had some substance abuse issues.

Odell Beckham Sr had one of the best blocks I’ve ever seen on one of those returns…a decleater

Fun fact: the Aggie that Odell leveled in 1990 was Larry Horton. Horton was the one who returned the 89 season opening kickoff for a TD against LSU. Let’s call that devastating block, payback.

Brian is my son’s Godfather so I know them all. Cal was/is NOT even close to being the best athlete.

Great Jacques Doucet interview with Todd and Brian from 2022.

Great Thread!

Can't believe there isn't one smart arse "White Boy" comment from one of the resident virgin geek Rantknockers.

I don’t think it’s online anywhere, but I watched Todd Kinchen will LSU to a win against Kentucky in 1991. LSU won 29-26 and had no business winning the game. UK was 0-7 in conference that year. He returned a punt for a TD and caught a pass for a touchdown.
I remember driving around the neighborhood listening to this game with my dad because the car antenna was the only way we could get WWL from several states away.

His brother Brian was a great tight end for LSU and played several years in the NFL as a tight end and long snapper. His dad Gus played for LSU back in the 50s.

You forgot about Gary, Austin, and Hunter.

These guys were all Tigers but played at a lot of different high schools. Gus and Gary were from Baton Rouge High, Brian was from University Lab, Todd was from Trafton (now Dunham), Austin was from Parkview Baptist, and Hunter was also from Dunham.

Still run his ‘sideline stop, catch and spin move’ with the grand kids in the front yard.

Man, this makes me smile. Those weren’t the best years, but Kinchen willing us to a win over a very good team is a top ten Tiger memory for me. Salute, 49!

One of the greatest and most athletic plays I have ever witnessed in Tiger Stadium. I will never forget all those Aggies chasing him like a bunch of hound dogs after a rabbit.

I was there, what a game. If if recall correctly the Aggie running back was ejected from the game.

don’t think he ever took a fair catch. He always returned the ball.

I got to ask him about this actually. He said he just enjoyed the game so much that he never wanted to give up an opportunity to make a play.

He took some hard licks sometimes because he didn’t fair catch.
Tough SOB, that he was.
