What coach was at the helm when you first started following the Tigers?

Same here and my old man HATED him. But even then I had a soft spot for him cause he was my first coach.

Paul Dietzel

Crushed when he left for his “Dream Job”, to coach at Army.

But thanks for a NC, a Heisman, and the Chinese Bandits. Chop Chop.

Ole Lester in 2011. Senior year of high school out of state.

Got accepted on Halloween 2011 and next week my first game I watched was LSU Alabama.

Yeah, I can still hear the cries of Help Mac Pack, but it was mostly because he couldn’t beat the Bear, and I felt that was kind of unfair back then. He really did a good job outside of that I felt.

Curly Hallman.

That's probably why appreciate the good times more than some on here.

Cholly Mac. I’ll never forget the coaching job he did for the 1967 cotton bowl. The 7-3 Tigers took down Arkansas and ended their 22 game win streak. I was there. It’s worth reading about.

I’m gonna give it to y’all who began following the Tigers under Curley. You’re some battle hardened fans.

Dinardo, though I was kinda getting into CFB more during the tail end of Curley's tenure.

This.
I casually followed LSU football in the 1990’s but was always a baseball fan first. Saban came to town and suddenly we started winning more than we did before so I became more interested. He made football as important to me as baseball was.
