Brandt Broussard is our leading hitter and is hurt
Watson missed time
Josh Smith is damn good
Feduccia missed time and rested tonight
Webre has been hurt
Yea freshman pitchers don’t matter. Tell that to Eric walker and Hillard
Labas is also a Juco

no one is "content with losing". just because they don't panic and jump off a cliff doesn't meant they are content.

for some reason, a lot of people today think that bitching and complaining actually help a situation. well, it doesn't. YOU nor I have no control.

this team is struggling at the plate right now. nothing more or nothing less.

Inexperienced coaches on this staff is a big reason for struggling at the plate.

It’s pretty common to rest your catcher for a midweek game. Feduccia has been underwhelming and so has Webre. They aren’t going to carry this team. And I didn’t say freshman pitchers don’t matter, I said you can’t depend on them, you can’t plan to build a team around them because it’s unpredictable.

Bottom line is the only PROVEN game changer that has missed significant time is Smith

The excuses need to stop. We need to see more consistent hitting if this team is going to go anywhere this year.

I think LSU needs to schedule BRCC for a 3 game series so that we can get our batting average above .250

What about the inexperienced coaches last season?

You are on a roll. Feduccia is underwhelming? Lol
The only proven veteran who has missed time is smith? How about watson and eric walker? Do they not count? And whether you want to admit it or not, feduccia is a legit catcher and missing him effected us opening wekend.
And you can usually count on stud freshmen to produce something. And we are missing that guy in storz.

Yes we have time to turn it around. But what is it? We went to the finals in the CWS last year and lost some great players and 2 of our best pitchers ever... We will have growing pains and cannot be a dominant team every year. I see talent on the young roster... Be patient and those young arms will be stronger next year

That's fine, we haven't exactly set the world on fire on the weekends either.

That's a fair statement and my response to that would be that we've struggled around this time of the year the last few years and then got hot at the end of the year. I just don't think it's time to panic, not even a little bit.

Most of the starters retained the knowledge from Cannizaro.

I'm older than Moscona and been watching LSU baseball longer than him. I don't need him to tell me that midweek games don't matter to anyone besides fans. CPM uses them as a glorified scrimmage. Last night in the first inning, he brought the infield in with a runner on 3rd. No one does that unless their down a bunch of runs. It's just to practice the situation.

Get used to it until PM is gone. Bash me all you want but he never coaches up lesser talent to win big games. There's always some excuse why he loses.

We are close to halfway through the season and are not terribly far above .500....and we still have Arkansas, OM and Florida yet to come along with the rest of our SEC schedule.

I think we are just as likely to miss the SEC tourney as we are to host a regional at the moment and see no reason to believe otherwise.

Did you miss the games we played against Oregon St in the CWS last year?

Since apparently you did, I'll recap: LSU beat a more talented team.

Weekend series: 4-2 with no sweeps (11-7 record)

Midweek record: 5-3

Not horrible. Not great. Sweep State (a bad team) and everyone will be singing the team's praises.

They do the same thing with football. They don't know anything else. It's either win every game or we suck, and if you don't agree with it you accept mediocrity. Yawn

The regular season in football means so much more to your postseason destination than baseball and basketball. That's why every game matters more in football.

Every game doesn’t matter if you’re an sec football school.
