Makes the most sense to me

Last year our ace was a generational guy that could throw 130 pitches every outing and never lost velo. Your point is mute

Last year our ace pitched every game 1, whether it was Thursday or Friday.
But the majority of SEC teams usually saved their ace for the second game. It’s the same situation. No team wanted to waste their ace pitching against Skeenes

Bet it’s Herring for 3-4 innings

Herring, Coleman, Guidry would be my guess how they are used tomorrow. Very hopeful the bats scratch some runs and Hagen gets up in pitch count and chased. I like the strategy this weekend. DVH countered by keeping Tygart on Sat on moving up Molina to Fri.

More to do with normal days rest from what I’ve seen.
What have you seen?

Game 1: TBD v. Hagen Smith
Game 2: Holman v. Molina
Game 3: Jump v. Tygart
I like it

Is Jay conceding Game 1?
I didn't take it that way. Just keeping everyone on same days rest. Will be curious to see who exactly he decides to start tonight though.

Most likely due to Thursday being the first game
That’s not why. If we had Skenes he’d go on 5 days rest just like Hagan. The reason is that if we hold Holman we have a much better chance of being tied after two games with a chance to win the series.
It’s funny that when folks held their ace last year it was because they were scared of Skenes. Now six days rest has become critical.

Hagen pitched last Thursday vs Auburn.

last year Arkansas threw Smith and Hunter Hollan Game one just to beat Skenes.
and then lost the next 2 games.
opposite approach here

I agree. I believe it's obvious that is what JJ is doing here. That doesn't stop people here trying to claim it's about rest. Holman has already pitched on 5 days rest and did great against Texas on 5 days rest. 5.2 IP 3H 12K 1BB 0Runs.

That's awesome.

Yes. Keeping them on standard rest and schedule is important. Especially for away games. Give yourself the best chance for a solid outing.
