All this dramatic bullshite wasn't necessary because you had a valid point.
My 1st cousin and my FIL are diehard LSU Baseball Fans. They are also NegaTiger fricking fricks(NTFFs).
Both of them harassed us after the announcement today.
And both essentially said the same thing: "LSU Deserves to lose and Jay Johnson is a dumb arse for throwing Skenes."
If my cousin and FIL both felt this way today, I imagine the OP ain't that far off. There's a lot of you MFers who think/thought it was stupid to throw Skenes today. The problem is nobody calls you out on being a NegaTiger fricking frick(NTFF) when we win.
But his approach was clearly over the top.

Not saying you’re doing this but I have seen posts from people who are still melting about Skene’s pitching today. Even after LSU won. Whether he pitches in game one or two, you’re only getting him for one game. Now he has more than a week to rest up.
No idea why some are still melting down about this.

I've analyzed tonight's matchup with Oregon St from every possible perspective, and see no way LSU wins. The Beavers are a truly fearsome, formidable bashi-bazouk who regularly scores 18 or more runs vs the opposition. Even if OSU's pitching is spent, as some here say, there's no way Giger bats can match the Beavers if the game becomes a slugfest.
Let's look forward to eliminating Tulane in the loser's bracket tomorrow, and call this season a success.

You should be happy we won game 1. Every LSU fan should be happy we won game 1. But pitching Skenes was the wrong decision. Winning the game does not change that.

Would it be better to say pitch Hurd and go loser's bracket after 1st game?
The problem is the LSU baseball team, not JJ's management. There simply aren't enough solid arms to make winning a regional bracket possible when slugmeisters like OSU are in the bracket
