We really had Prime Fournette and Guice in the backfield at the same time.

That’s crazy to think about.

Faulk, Collins and Mealey all at the same time is hard to top.

And Qbs that couldn't hit the broad side of barn yard door unfortunately at the time. They still went nuts.
Imagine either one of them on a Bama team during that time

When they were on the team together, there was never a game where both ran for allot of yards. Les was so stubborn, Guice got very few touches unless Fournette was hurt

What’s crazy is that we almost never saw them on the field together. Les simply could not comprehend how to do that

Les Miles was simply an underachieving coach, but too many wouldn't see it, myself included in the moment. Was so ready in the end though but should have been after the 2011 natty bs. Not immediately after, but we all agree that it should have been much sooner than it was.

Bama had a pretty good running back at that time. Heisman and rushing title, Derrick Henry. Still pumping for Tennessee. It’s a tough league.

Both great backfields also coincidentally had a total creep.

Gary James and Dalton Hilliard were a nice one-two punch.

Also a great lesson in how devalued RBs are in the modern game

What I can’t understand is how we never or very rarely saw a split backfield lineup.

And never once tried the pro set 2 RB formation with them.

Doesn’t deserve to be mentioned with the other two.
