You people bitching just don't know how great it is right now. Back in the 90's, we weren't good enough to even remotely think about sending a player to the heisman ceremony.
And no one bitched about what bowl LSU went to, because we never went anywhere.
These are the wonder years, folks. Be happy indeed.

Yep. These are the same guys that think the US being above average (better than Kenya and other 3rd world counties) in education and other statistics is some sort of serious accomplishment.

These threads are so incredibly tiresome. And usually inaccurate. For example, the OP claims that, in the 90s, no one ever complained about which bowl we were invited to. Wrong. Much of the fanbase was livid when we were passed over by NYD bowls in 1996, after we finished 9-2.
Perhaps one day these alarmist posters will recognize that the atrocious results in the 1990s were the product of an improbable combination of bumbling, cheap, yokel administrators and imbecilic coaching. That decade doesnt represent the native potential of the program. We arent destined to revert to that futility.

we really need a moratorium on referencing the 90s. it isn't the fricking 90s, we are nearing 2 decades worth of separation. this is(or was) an elite program. 8 wins isn't good enough
