I was on TD daily in the 90's complaining about the state of LSU football.

I prefer to thing back to the '00's, when LSU was better than they are now. That's where I'd like to be again personally.

Back in the 90's, you didn't have a coach making $4.5 mil a year or have the highest paid coordinators in college football either.

I liked it when you could leave before halftime and no one would bitch about it.

Wasn't Kevin Faulk in some Heisman talk?

I don't remember if he was ever an even semi-realistic candidate, but people called Eddie Kennison "Heisman Eddie", too.

And we didn't pay TAF, tradition fund, 10,000 for south stadium club. We didn't have the highest paid staff and we didn't pay 4.5 million for a football coach.

you are comparing apples and oranges, terrible analogy. Since we were once mediocre we should settle for almost but not quite better?

It also didn't cost $2,000 for season tickets in the 90's (even with inflation). Welcome to playing with the big boys, price goes up, stakes go up and expectations go up. If you're not ready to hang in the big leagues, there's plenty of room these days for 6-6's (and even 5-7's) to make bowl games, maybe you would be more comfortable there.

You people bitching just don't know how great it is right now. Back in the 90's, we weren't good enough to even remotely think about sending a player to the heisman ceremony.

And no one bitched about what bowl LSU went to, because we never went anywhere.

These are the wonder years, folks. Be happy indeed.

frick dude
