Look, I got a little bored with, and irritated at, all the checkdown swing passes to CEH vs Texas. But that's what was open.

If that's all that ends up being open against Auburn and Florida and Bama, and it gets us 4 yards a play, we should be happy to take it. We can't let these teams just stack the box and stuff the run and/or pin their ears back and pass rush when it's obvious.

Most of what our new offensive philosophy is doing, is forcing the defense to cover the entire field, and always having an outlet to hit.

Yes, we have to be able to run the ball. But running the ball is more effective when the defense doesn't think you're about to run the ball. We have some ridiculous talented backs, and the run game will come along.

We do not abandon any part of our offense. You need to switch teams. Georgia Tech could be one for you to look into. I bet you'd enjoy Kansas too.

Nothing like threatening the obvious run and having them actually respect it. Just as easy to throw At that point with a capable QB and good pass catchers. Standard play action from under center is not a dead concept.

No. We need to pad Burrow's stats so he can get a Heisman. Like all the other good teams do.

Yeah because that’s the strategy to beat Bama. A physical rushing offense?

It’s like you just haven’t watched them play at all for a decade.

Spread, wide open attack, hurry up and make them play sideline to sideline. That’s how you beat Bama.

I can’t believe how retarded some of our fan base is.

I don't think we should go to the Power I, but I'd like to see better balance and more effective runs out of this team. I mean, CEH's average might have been 5.8, but we barely cracked 100 yds. Asking for 200 yds vs Northwestern (along with 300+ passing) isn't a stretch.

Trying to run the ball with 7-8 dudes in the box is fricking retarded.

These are the type of disguises I want to see. Set up in an obvious run formation to bring em in then let Joe burn em down the middle.

I couldn't disagree more. We need to get the offense more accustomed to throwing the ball (even in traditional running situations).

Do we need to play the younger backs more? YES!!! Certainly. They need to learn the offense, learn Pass Pro, and get chemistry with Joe and MB.

But we don't need to revert to Les Miles offense. The less of Les the more we win.

What? Have you not watched this offense for the past dozen years? I really don't understand how you can claim fandom and be nostalgic for Les's offense. It's asinine.

We have a great QB, three great WRs, scoring points, TEs we still need to integrate, attracting nat'l attn and recruits...and you want to go back to the toss pitch? Wow.
