Next win against them needs to come as an under the radar type of thing.

I wish it'd go back to 2:30 with no bye week before the game.

LSU is completely mind fricked by this game. It's all mental with the shutouts, the losing streak, the hype. It gets hyped as the biggest game of the year for 2 weeks, it's THE primetime game and LSU comes out and lays eggs year after year. I wish we could take it back to being just another game on the schedule

Only way that happens is if either team is having a miserable season.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Bama having a miserable season is not likely to happen, so guess which team that would be.

I really don’t know why it’s hyped so fricking much

One team has won 8 straight, 3 of them being shutouts, and 5 of them by double digits.

I’m sick of it. frick CBS and everything else that contributes to the entropy of this god damn series

This is the main thing. The bye week is stupid. It may help the team to rest up physically, but all it does is make the mental aspect of the game that much worse.

You don't think it being hyped had something to do with the #1 team playing against the #3 team?

Everything you are all wishing for would take LSU absolutely sucking to make it happen.

Last time we won at home against these assholes was a 2:30 game.

I’m not sure how you do that against a team that has been at the top of the college football world for damn near a decade.

I said this 5 years ago. Move the bye week. Take the emphasis of the game.

How convenient for you to use this season as your only sample instead of the entire 7 game span. Good vision.

Why was this hyped as a CBS night game in 2013/2014/2016/2017 after LSU already had multiple shitty losses?

It’s become a turd with glitter sprinkled on it. LSU has done literally nothing in this series the past several years to warrant even being taken seriously by Vegas or the media, yet they still want to slot it as some classic war for TV purposes.

IF LSU aspires to championships, and it seems that a fair contingent of tRant still does, despite all the apologists of the current coaching staff, then we HAVE to beat the University of Alabama.

It is the game for all the marbles in our division, at least, each season. How can "we" NOT hype this game? To be a champion you have to beat the champion, and guess who the champion is, even when they do not win the division?

Human nature being what it is, sports fandom, and championship aspirations, yeah, let's have a strategy of not hyping this game.

It can still be CBS game of the week, but I don't like the bye.

I wish we could play Alabama earlier in the season, perhaps swap them with Auburn.

Change up something.

I liked when the only real date certain SEC game on our schedule was Ole Miss (last weekend in October) and all the others seemed to move around a bit from year-to-year.

ETA, but shite, it looks like historically we've always played Alabama around that time, right after Ole Miss. I don't know why it hasn't always seemed so set in stone.

But, alas, only one SEC school gets to dictate its schedule, and by extension, those of every other team.

Bama scored a TD in the 1st qtr and then missed the PAT. They already had us beat.

No strategy necessary.
