While we all enjoy the feel good story that is Nuss and his loyalty to LSU, unfortunately we have a much bigger problem.

I have not figured out if you are proposing sitting Nuss in favor of a new portal guy or for backup. If you are supposing a new guy can do better go back and look at our last two Heisman winners and their first year in the system... Talk about mediocrity

If the QB has to run away from the rush because your line sucks you’re not winning shite anyway. JD5 had the 2nd most time to throw in the pocket in the SEC last season, he wasn’t running away from trouble, he ran through open lanes.

You do realize that on average running QBs are sacked a lot more than pocket passers right? Take the 1st seasons of our last 2 starters, JD5 had an oline that ranked in the top 8 nationally in every category yet was sacked 43 times, Nuss had one of the worst interior lines we’ve seen in the last 30 years and was only sacked 16 times this season.

Neither one of those Heisman winners had 4 new starters on the offensive line.

Replacing 4 starters on the OLine is a very good time to replace the Oline coach. Davis is not sustainable. This past year was a disaster to anyone paying attention.
LSU needs a new OC, Oline coach, ST coach (or the one that coached the Okla game)
We can't keep doing the same things and expecting different results.

Nuss is rumored to be getting 1.5 million for this year. It's going to be tough to even get another QB in the portal as a backup.

Really need to replace all 5 lineman. I don’t count Chester as a viable center. Really have to upgrade that position with someone on the team or preferably a multi year successful starter somewhere. Center is a crucial position and really need an experience quality guy in the middle. Maybe Chester could slide to guard and be better…who knows? Hopefully the coaches have a really good read on what we have coming back and coming in and make the right call on what we need to bring in

Like Beck and Ewers?? 2/3 of the SECs playoff contingent are pocket passes.

Hell, Nico isnt a runner either. Nuss is mobile enough.

Damn I wish all you people would stfu and give Nuss a chance. He will be better next year. And he’ll be the starter next year. Love it or not that’s what it is.
I bet you were one of those trashy arse fans booing at the vandy game when his picture came on the screen before the game. I looked at my buddy and said “sometimes I hate to be associated with some of the fans”

I mentioned on the recruiting board, Fernando Mendoza from Cal is in the portal. Will be a junior. Over 3,000 yards passing 2024 and he had a 50 yd run. 2 rushing TD. 16 TDs and 6 ints. 6'5"

Don't even bother with him. He has bashed Nuss the entire year, along with that idiot TN Tygah. He even said we needed a running qb and that OU didn't have the defense (in regards to nuss having a good game against them)....yet the OU defense shut down Milroe and Bama and held them to 3 points...but Nuss lit them up. hmmmmm

Also, these two idiots don't understand that when our LG got hurt against A&M it opened up the middle of the OL (next to a Center not performing well) and the next 2 or 3 games teams with strong DL's were attacking the middle of our OL and coming in many times untouched....not much a qb can do if coming right up the middle in your face...everyone says step up...really? that
s if the rush is coming around the edges. Just idiots wanting to bash.

So what was the excuse for Ole Miss? 44% completion.

they had a damn good defense and help me if I remember correctly, Nuss made 2 NFL like TD passes to tie and win the game, when the game was on the line. He had 2 sacks up until half time of A&M...all year...that includes against OM and SC....two really good fronts.

It is funny you are trying to put him down, when both Jb and JD both had horrendous games their first year starting at LSU. It tells me you are one of two things, a troll, or just completely ignorant to football.

Mark these words. The need for a dual threat quarterback and the fact that we do not have one in Nuss is going to be the number one topic on Tigerrant in the early part of the 2025 season.

I would bet a shite-ton of my meager assets on it.

I hear Hobley still has 4 years of eligibility. Throw some NIL money at him--he would probably commit for a cheeseburger and a small shake.

The guy that can’t spell knows without a doubt we should replace the #2 qb in the SEC with someone else. Keep in mind he’s #2 in his first year as a starter. Hmmm interesting
