Nuss will be in the Heisman race. We thought Joe Burrow was an anomaly for LSU football. Daniels proves that it's a trend.

Two things have to happen here.
1. LSU has to keep playing an open, pass-happy offense.
2. The elite WRs have to keep rolling in. Even an average QB can look all-world with guys like Chase and Nabers.

This exactly!

That said, they did show us that they could do it. They just didn’t. Seemed to be a philosophy and leadership problem.

Yeah it’s very likely that our playoff chances will come down to the final game vs OU.

LSU fans went from thinking 7/8 wins was a great season under Dinardo, to thinking 10 wins and playing in the SEC Championship was acceptable under Saban, to 11/12 wins and being in contention for a National Title with Les, then back to 10/11 with O, and now a 9/10 win season is seen as fantastic again.

There are more good teams now and I don’t think it is as easy to win 10/11 as it was during Miles tenure. Ole Miss is stronger for sure, for example.

OU to end the year is massive and will most likely be a playoff elimination game. OU is young and very talented and by Nov they will be dangerous

This is one of those preseason, overly optimistic predictions.

10-2 would mean every question we have heading into the season is answered positively.

9-3 would be a good year IMO.

Absolutely wrong...

No one said the defense got more talented, necessarily. However they hopefully are MUCH better coached. I dint believe they will be a shut down defense, but they can be better than the average.

They can definitely get better on.field performance than last year.

And what defensive player was a heisman contender?

The defense definitely has gotten better. Simply by changing scheme… and having a full time defensive line coach.

I think the tigers might lose 3, possibly 4 games

Who knows with this team???

The defense has to improve ( a lot) and we don't know if Nuss can bail us out like Daniels did.

I could see anything from 7-5 to 10-2....

I wish we had 2011 defense that would almost guarantee us a Natty.

Kelly has at least 1, if not 2, games every season where the team is not even ready to play the game. Losing only 2 games this season would be a big accomplishment.

It’s impossible for you to know this without know how other teams around the country do. Just let it play out man
exactly. We haven't even played a single down of football and this board is talking about playoff details.

Wait until mid-November - then we can discuss various playoff scenarios.

Until then, just enjoy the season and see how we do.

I think we have three losses. USC and two others in the SEC. Could be any two out of 4 or 5 games.
