I've thought it for a while....not that he's perfect...no one under the microscope is...but there is no better coach, recruiter, motivator, leader or human being coaching a BCS program right now. We are damn lucky he loves his university.

I'll just say I wouldn't trade Miles for any other coach in college football, including the Alabama coach. Saban is a complete tool, and we have no clue whether he can keep a program among the elite over the long haul. LSU football is more fun with Les Miles than it has ever been. Love the guy!

Preseason Saban has far more players on the all SEC team. If LSU wins against Bama, it has to be because of the coach right?

disagree, but he is definitely the most interesting. Wouldn't trade him because of this, loyalty, and most of all his players seem to flat out love the dude.

If the offense was just slightly more entertaining, everybody would be Les fans. But his formula is working well for consistent success.

One more championship and he is the best ever at LSU. Class act IMO.

I apologize in advance - but, does this thread prompt the question, "Is Les the most interesting Coach in the world? "

He sometimes gives away Time Outs just to make endings more exciting.

He was heard saying, "anyone can run an option to the long side of the field."

We have the coolest, craziest , goofiest , funniest, most unpredictable , most loved by his players, most passion filled coach in college football and I love the guy but he screws up to much to be the best.

Coach Miles is a lovable man whose players give their life for him.

1. Has won 78.7 % of games.

2. Has won a National Championship.

3. Is committed to the LSU community and is not looking to use LSU as a stepping stone.

4. A family man who does not run around on his wife.

5. Has won a higher percentage of games at LSU than did his predecesor.

Final Grade= A

He's LSU's Lovable Loon, and I like it.

If he runs on the field, he goes to any sideline he wants too.
Erin Andrews would jump his bones.
If he doesn't manage the clock it is because time is just a meaningless human construct.

He is, the most interesting coach in the world.

Saban is a great builder no doubt but yet to prove he's a maintainer.
What seems to never be mentioned when the above statement comes up is that Saban was very fortunate are some could say, won the lottery, when he arrived both at LSU and Alabama. What I mean by that is, upon arriving at both of these schools, the HS seniors of the respective states were best in the nation and were probably going to the flagship school anyway and both schools already had very good talent that needed a different direction. Viola. Saban.

LSU made Saban more than Saban made LSU. Dinardo got the ball rollin at LSU. He just didn't maintain it when OC Watts and DC Reese bolted. Saban became top tier because of two sleeping giants. Saban would still be equivalent to a Kirk Ferentz or Barry Alvarez or RC Slocam if he stayed at Mich St. He stepped into two perfect storms and he can thank LSU for wanting to take a chance on a coach that had a worst record and losing record than the one he was about to replace. Kudos to Saban for recognizing both of these great opportunities which made him who he is today.
