He isn't? Reading the sec rant, the hog fans love him for being an a-hole type coach. That's what they say on there at least.

This will all come crashing down when LSU inevitably loses to a team they should beat this season.

He might have quit like he did with the Falcons. We could have had a Tennessee type problem on our hands. Guess what, if that would have happened, that precious little recruiting fence we all talk about that Saban built would have been wiped out by our competition.

We should never underestimate the value of stability in the program

Ever heard of Nick fricking Saban? Every person on the planet who is not an LSU fan would tell you Saban is a better coach than Les Miles

We will see. Saban's biggest Achilles Heel (if he has one) is when he doesn't really know who his QB is. Didn't work that well at LSU. We will see how it goes at Bama this year with McCarron and Simms. And then there's the Nov 5 matchup with LSU. What if Miles won? He'd be 3-2 against St. Nick.

May as well pencil in Richt, at this point. A week from now... he may be at the bottom of the list.

It's tough to compare coaches by any realistic measure, especially when the coaches are at different schools. There are different facilities, etc. So comparing Miles to Petrino based on results will always be met with the "well if Petrino were at LSU he'd be better.". You can't win that imaginary, but if, argument. And even when the coaches coached at the same school, someone will say that Saban had it more difficult bc he was rebuilding. All I can repeat is that Miles had more wins and reached those faster than any other coach at LSU, including Saban. So if he is not the best, he is the best ever at LSU. Teams can only win games. They can't control any other measure. So I will take Miles, even after his time management woes. He does one thing well- his teams win!

And they will do that twice. You cannot spell Les Miles without 2 L's

Interesting that after Richt gets the boot this year (and he will) Miles and Spurrier will be the deans of the SEC coaching fraternity.

Could Miles be this generations Cholly Mac, hanging around for 17 years? Scary and somehow, comforting, at the same time.

Miles is the whole package.... There may be a few guysvthat are better x&o types but considering the entire package.....including being a great man who loves his job and that it shows in his recruiting and the fact that his players would run through fire for him....none better!!!

He is NOT perfect....but nobody is andvI would not trade him for any other coach that I can think of.....
