This isn't a "book it" post or anything like that. We've got some tough games coming up and it'll be a challenge to come out on top of them all.

Having said that, looking at the CFB landscape makes me realize a 2 loss SEC Champ could still be in the top 4.

Georgia has UF, OM, Mizzou, and TN left to play. With Bowers out, it's not crazy to think they could drop one of those - preferably not OM. If they lose one, and then we were to beat them in the SECCG then it wouldn't be a debate over 2 teams from the SEC getting into the playoff. We'd have that claim outright.

We need a little chaos from the other conferences. Best chance is the Pac 12 imploding on itself and having them beat each other enough to keep their conference champ out of the mix.

Point is, there's still a very realistic possibility we could get in.

And when you have the most electrifying offense in the country, that gives us a chance to win it all.

There are still at least two losses left on LSU’s schedule.

We are heavy favorites over Florida and A&M so what two losses?

Long way to go to get to #4. You assume just jumping over most of the one loss teams with a big win over Georgia State.

Well that settles it......we are favorites, so there's no chance we can lose

We don't need 2007 level chaos, but we definitely need a good bit of help. But I agree, it's absolutely still possible, so it's still something the guys should be aiming for.

Very slim chance. We need every undefeated team to lose

If Georgia can hang onto the #1 spot, and we somehow win out and beat them as the 1 team, we have a solid chance. Just need a little help from other conferences.

Not if Zy is out for season or for an extended amount of time. Better hope for good news with his injury.

Two of these three (Alabama, Florida, Texas A&M).

No chance. I think making the orange, cotton or peach would be the far stretched but obtainable goal. Most likely though it’s the Gator Bowl.

No way Jose. A nine touchdown win in a pickup game does not a playoff team make.

How can we beat Bama with cornerback woes?

Not a chance. This defense is horrific. I think we lose in Tuscaloosa. Gumps have a good defense.

We were heavy favorites over A&M last year too and look what happened
Don’t count A&M as a sure win

Michigan/tOSU
Washington / Oregon
FSU / UNC
OU / UT

UGA or no one. Even UGA has looked bad at times.

It won’t matter because LSU isn’t winning out any way. There are 2 losses coming because of the DB situation if Alexander and others are gone.

I want to believe, but the defense is just too weak.
