Correct. Nothing can be determined after 2 games.

It’s also too soon to say LSU doesn’t have a starting pitching problem

yes but at least the baseball team isn't coached by a functional retard, so we can have faith things will get figured out

We have rightful concerns on SP for once.

Regardless of the outcome this weekend either way..

Any sweeping statements after 2 games other than our catching sucks is fake news.

that's really a stupid statement. a persons opinion is not news at all; you sound like a parrot of trump.

Gilbert and Hess are not that bad. And the bullpen will not always be this good.

this I agree with. tho it isn't news, fake or real, it is your opinion. they stunk it up and we still end up 1-1. hopefully, it just highlights what we need to do to improve.

Gilbert can be really good and I think he will be come SEC play. Hess needs to be in the pen

Agreed. I think Gilbert will be fine, and I think Hess will improve. Overall not too concerned with the pitching staff just yet.

I have however always been a big proponent of taking Slaughter out of the lineup. It's not that he gets out, but that his outs are so unproductive. It's strikeouts and infield pop ups. You really can't afford to have a guy like Slaughter in the lineup unless he is your only weakspot.

I have been a big Chris Reid fan his entire time he has been here. Guy does nothing but get on base consistently, yet he has been relegated to a towel waver. Get him on the field.

The biggest real concern has to be catcher though. We will get run on all year unless Feduccia comes back and is really good. I haven't seen him play yet.

Gilbert probably let the moment get to him. He will be fine.

I am still not sold on Hess as a SP.

I'm not sure how good Gilbert will be this year, but I think he will be significantly better than he was last night. I don't think you can say any of the questions involving Hess were answered tonight.
