We could praise all our freshmen, but i came away most impressed with Dwight. Thrown in abruptly and didnt care if he got beat, and he was rarely ever beat on any play even the TD he gave up he just played the ball wrong. He didnt blow any coverages unlike our other Db flott does every game. I like the potential our secondary has

Yep. He doesn't have great speed. BUT he is physical and is solid in coverage.

They went at him all night but the kid fought and gave as good as he got. Bright future for this guy.

Dwight was beat a lot. Florida figured out that his top end speed is low, so they started stretching him. Once they figured that out they were blowing past him regularly. I’m not taking anything away from him because he played like a warrior, but if you think we’ve found a replacement for Flott I think you’re wrong.

Trask started targeting him almost every play

He was "there" just needs to mend a few mistakes, more snaps will do him good. But he was getting picked on badly.

I always thought of Dwight more as a FS than a CB. He doesn't nhave the top end speed, but is very physical and has good ball skills.

This. I think he ends up swapping spots with one of the incoming safeties. A couple of those guys could be corners, or at least play nickel.

I will take less speed for knowing where the fuk you supposed to be in coverage. I like DM better than Flott

I've been SCREAMING to have Nudie get a shot this season after our pitiful secondary play.

Kid was a baller in HS and showed out at the UA All-American game.

He and Ricks will continue the DBU name for the next couple of years!

I agree he doesn’t have as much speed but he is tall good w long arms and more physical - not afraid to hit. Maybe better as a safety. He fought the whole game and didn’t get discouraged despite getting picked on repeatedly.

I also like that he turns back to look for the ball unlike guys like Fulton who are faster and stickier but have their backs to the ball.

So there's one thing to get beat but still in position to make play which dwight was. flott is literally never around the Wr at all. it happens a ton.

Flott’s big weakness, other than just getting beat a few times by faster WRs, is figuring out how to switch on pick plays. He’s messed that up for at least three big plays this year.

The bigger issue is that our safeties are so awful. The CBs are on permanent islands because Harris and Hampton have no clue what’s going on and Stevens is just too slow for coverage. Flott and Ward could use a hand on deep shots and never get it.

This is probably the most impressive thing to me. The kid made mistakes and got beat, but I never once felt he was down on himself. Coach Raymond has a lot to work with in that kid.

Head up, Dwight. You were a big part of LSU winning Saturday night.

It’d help a lot if we didn’t have the worst coverage safeties in the NCAA. It’s hard to judge our corners, particularly on deep routes, Bc they never have any safety help.

Not every corner has to have the ability to run stride for stride with a 4.4 WR. That’s where safeties and good coverage schemes come in

I think you are right about his speed, I think he would be great as a safety.

I am gonna be honest, I missed the game so I watched a condensed version with highlights, and I seen a whole lot of number 2 getting burnt lol. But I keep seeing how people were impressed?
