We beat Saban in his first year at Bama

On the road at that, and we all know how that ended up for us after. Lots of pain vs Saban and Bama following that initial win in 07. Obviously I don’t expect Lane to win 6 natties, but losing to Ole Miss shouldn’t continue being a regular occurrence for the foreseeable future.

Saban didn’t have a $50m roster bro. You’re comparing apples and oranges, but I agree with your point that we’ll be just fine.

Yall are Leavitting and overthinking this. I’m not comparing rosters or eras. I’m just saying that while we got “revenge” on Saban in our first meeting against him at Bama he proceeded to kick our arse for the next decade plus, and I expect Lane to do the same to Ole Miss. Not to mention, they will be nowhere near the program we were under Miles with Golding at the helm if/when Chambliss finally leaves.
