a terrible, disingenuous comparison. Mississippi State has redirected funds from football and basketball towards baseball. Are you suggesting a school like LSU do that?
And I know this type of thread has just become a troll for you, but this team is well funded. Sure, Jay could always use more money just like every other coach, but that's not what's holding this team back right now. We had the number 1 portal class and number 1 recruiting class. You don't have that by not being very competitive with your offers.
The fact of the matter is that this staff really just whiffed on the transfer portal players this year. It's ok, it's going to happen in this era of college athletics. Especially when you think about how the portal is open while teams are in Omaha, which leads to the teams in Omaha being at a disadvantage.

Jay is going nowhere and this narrative that whenever we lose a game it's because we're not giving Jay enough money....really needs to stop. It's obtuse.
Jay knows what he has here - no one cares more about college baseball. We spent enough on the roster relative to our peers and practically - and multiple folks that rank such things said LSU's transfer class was best in the country this year.
Jay is just doing what every coach in every sport should do in this new era, fight for everything that he can for his program. He's doing his job.

I know right - seems some still think the revenue share is all the baseball team gets. I'm dumbfounded by this as no matter how many times this is explained as you did above - there still seems to be a disconnect in understanding this.
Like WW has guys who will fund his program only, Kim has folks she goes to get money for hers only......Football has theirs.....Jay has those too - folks who care about and fund baseball only. Baseball IS NOT UNDERFUNDED!!
Jay's gonna fight for more and will. It's what every coach for every sport should do.
The revenue share is a pittance - the real money comes from other sources. Coaches for each program need to get most of their funding from those other sources. If you don't want to do that like say CMM you don't win.

And people only bring it up because of the extreme outlier that is Tony Vitello.
There’s a reason MLB teams never poach college head coaches: because it doesn’t work. Vitello is a gimmick hire in SF. I’m giving him 3 seasons at the outside.
