What does this even mean? This thread is dumb as hell.

Well you can say it’s dumb as hell and yet we lost to Bethune cookman.

That’s dumb as hell

I dont think theres any fixing the defense, but the pitching is coming around by God

Agreed. If offense and pitching are consistent and defense is sub par, you can still win a lot of games. Not ideal, but you have to have pitching and hitting be consistent to overcome the errors in the field.

Sorry big dawg, that ain’t putting a dent in your $3mm need. Better get to donating more.

The admin better step it up bc they have the money. I’m just doing my part, stop claiming I don’t have skin in the game
Go look up the Rev share that MS State committed to baseball and get back to me
quote:

$2 million would be 10% of rev share and $4 million would be 20%. There is no way BB is getting that amount.

How much does WBB get? They lose 9 mil per year and baseball loses less than 1m. Don’t screw baseball at LSU who has 8 natties.

If Verge wants to get on the hot seat he will not invest in baseball like MS State is.

Kim won’t be at LSU 10’years from now.

Jay could be leading an LSU dynasty 15 years from now. He’s many years younger than Kim

They’re still on the team

You could have had Burl Carraway if Jay got the commitment he needed. We got outbid

We got two of them last year

I’m talking about this year

No he won't

Ok, bookmark it. If Verge doesn’t give him the 2-4 mil he needs, another team will
To compete with other SEC teams. Verge better step up or Jay will leave. It’s not that big an ask
If he can get 6-7 innings, that changes the dynamic of every series though. We wouldn’t have won the KY series without him going 6
I didn’t read the entire thread, but this is Jay telling the new admins and the boosters he’s got to have more financial commitment for baseball to compete every year at the highest level.

The best way to piss off all the old money people at LSU is to not give him that commitment, and it’s far less of a commitment than the amount WBB loses every year.

To be fair Arkansas may not be that good this year.

You’re saying that about the only team that beat MS State in a series this year in the SEC and handed them their only 2 losses

Im going to be in panic mode for as long as you feel the need to make a new topic for every thought that pops in your head

You can do whatever you want, it’s a free country

Arkansas has been the most consistently good team in the SEC. At least in the regular season. I’ll add that Tennessee also got swept last week.

Arkansas just got swept at home

And we are in panic mode?
quote:

Lmao what? If LSU goes 16-14 in SEC play they are fine no matter what happens in this game.

If you want to go to another team’s regional, sure. You aren’t hosting at 16-14
quote:

Yes minus last appearance. Williams hasnt pitched as well as he did last year and hes a year older. He's going to figure it out and be a big piece moving forward.

Williams wasn’t ever projected as a first round draft pick. Paz was, and the only reason he made it to college is that he had an injury. LSU would never have gotten Paz if it wasn’t for that injury. Williams was never in that conversation.
quote:

This is not a bad option as well. I just like Williams as a lefty. Lefty's give most teams problems

Do you like Williams more than Paz? Both are lefties and Paz has more upside
He’s pitched over 6 innings in relief with zero runs and one walk. He hit 99 mph multiple times with ridiculous run. I like him in the bullpen but if Evans can’t be consistent, he’s a great option
