re: We are going to end up hating our last 3 head coaches that won a national championship

No sane person hates Saban. He brought us out of the dark ages. I hate that he whips our arse so often, but he will go down as one of or the best to ever do it, and Saban and LSU brought each other to where they ended up.

Should have done it

Make it four including Paul “I will never leave LSU “ Dietzel. Let’s go for five.

Im proud of O. He's the definition of someone from "down da bayou" as they say in Lafaourche Parish. I hope they sign him to a lifetime contract. He's a proven winner at LSU. The other two however can walk the plank on my newly renovated shrimp boat.

I hate Saban but it’s unrelated to his time at LSU.
I also didn’t really hate Les. It was absolutely his time when he got canned but he won a ton of games and probably could have won multiple championships if he didn’t run into the Nick Saban buzz saw.
The stuff that has come to light lately doesn’t help his reputation though.

I don’t hate any of them. I appreciate deeply the trophies they brought to LSU.
What I do have an issue with is how far the 3rd one let it fall. All that the first one built and second one tended to, O is rapidly destroying it.
Think about this: not one single fricking P5 school would hire him as HC. Not. A. One.

No hate here for those 3. I love them all for what they accomplished. Each did it in completely different ways. What I hate is that Saban left (for the expected NFL itch) and is now winning the nattys for our bitter rival. And I hate how the Miles thing went south and now it seems he was a scumbag in a way. And I currently hate that it might not work out long term for O because of his deficiencies.

Any reasonable fan wouldn’t hate on Saban given what he launched at LSU. The thing to dislike is seeing where he has been for the last decade and what he accomplished while there.
Miles, a step down from Saban and his act outlived its purpose and benefit. It was time.
Orgeron, “one of ours”, but a giant step or two down from Miles. He caught lightning in a bottle with Burrow, Brady and Aranda. No coach of an established nature and still ascending will come work for him. It’s over.
You can see the direction Lsu is going with its hires. Each successively worse than the gold standard.
Gotta seek to reverse course.

Whoever gets hired for 2022 will be number 4.
Because half the fan base did not get their way. They'll hate the hire.

So let’s hire him back! Woodward has to at least make him say no, right? You gotta at least make an offer to the best in the business, right?
No one said go hire Saban back moron. OP Said we are all going to hate our previous coaches, and I said no sure don't.

They brought it on themselves.

I don’t hate any of them. Your really immature if you do.

I hate Saban but for way different reasons than why I hate Miles and Orgeron
Dumb to include Saban that way

I have no reason to hate Saban.
Miles made a fool of himself chasing skirts, but as far as I know he did not force himself on anyone. Not a good look for him, but I don't hate him.
Same with Orgeron. He's a knucklehead, but I have no reason to hate him.

Let's review: Freeze beats his breasts for all who'll listen about how he loves the Lord and is a devout Christian. So Mam, don't worry, I'll show your son how to become a good Christian man. Then, in what must be the dumbest move EVER, he contacts his fave "escort services" using his Ole Miss phone and charges his "escorts" on his Ole Miss credit card; then he lies about it until it gets to the point that lying ain't working and cries and repents & begs forgiveness; gets fired amid serious NCAA violations in which he actually participated; and a finding that Ole Miss lacked institutional control under his leadership; and then, scapegoats the previous coach, who then sues the university and WINS.
With LSU's current NCAA problems still outstanding, the LAST THING LSU NEEDS IS HUGH FREEZE!

I don't hate any of them. Bottom line they all brought national championships to LSU.
