Correct, but they didn't know that. For all they knew, I partied there after the game and got hammered drinking their alcohol. I'd be legitimately infuriated if I got drunk at their bar and took an Uber home to have my car towed. That's bad business.

Ok I have listened to this rant and I object to what has been said. ( by the way I rarely put comments on Tigerdroppings) I just talked to someone today who has a large tailgate on campus near Indian mounds and they have done it for years. They said that they have been parking near their tailgate for years and everyone in their tailgate got towed on Saturday. I park in a parking pass near touchdown village and a huge tailgate that is normally there was not there on Saturday. Houston.. we have a problem... hate to show my age but I have been going to games for 51 years and I am
57... I have gone to pretty much every game since I was 6. The tailgate experience hit its peak the season of 2007. And the peak game was Florida when I parked near the gameday set . Then LSU took away any of the “on campus parking” in areas where my family had parked for 30 years and they have continued to decrease all areas of parking since that point. You can’t deny the truth because it’s a fact. Now they are towing the rest of the people. People can’t get out of the game traffic and they said it was because people were parked on the sides of burbank going out of campus and they were the problem and they eliminated that parking. I still can’t get out of gameday traffic and there is no one parked on Burbank going away from LSU. Although I never parked there I think it was unfair to fans.

Well LSU (and their towing contractor) aren’t towing anyone from off-campus apartment complexes.

So, no, that isn’t a fact.

Bonus, all of the lots reserved for students that aren't already used for gameday parking are fair game, i.e. WCA and ECA, Miller/Herget, etc.

I don't see why people can't be smart about it and be adults. Mommy and daddy won't always be there to bail you out.

Riverside towing is the devil

But park legally and you won't get towed

I know this past weekend they were towing student vehicles out of Touchdown Village before the 6 p.m. deadline. Started towing cars at 5:40, watched them do it from the RV and students came out looking bewildered from their cars disappearing.

What the hell are you supposed to do if you're actually visiting a friend for the game? The WBRZ segment they showed last night had people in visitor spots but got towed anyway because there's no "game day parking"

Guess your friend has to come pick you up

I don't know. If there is no game day parking they are just enforcing the apartment rules. Apartment management is to blame

Riverside is a shitty fricking business. They’ve never even towed me but they are fricking parasites.

When I first moved to Baton Rouge for grad school, I went over to a buddy's place to play a game of poker. This was a random weeknight in January or February. It was never mentioned to me this complex had a guest parking lot. The place was pretty much empty as could be. Was there for maybe two hours and came out to my car having been towed by Riverside.

It's got nothing to do with whether people's parking is actually a problem during a gameday overflow scenario. They are unscrupulous in their practice and they are generally douchebags when you interact with them back at their yard as well. For people not familiar with the towing situation in BR and what complexes have what policies, it is pretty much tantamount to a racket.

if you get towed you must be an absolute moron...it's not that hard to park where your vehicle won't be towed
