To each their own. But “exciting” is not an adjective I’d use to describe women’s basketball

Compared to watching our men play, it's orgasmic.

Well, it helps when your players can make layups under pressure and can actually shoot.

Nice to have a point guard that can run the show on both ends of the court! Women do and men don't...

From all the posts I’m guessing they had a game last night.

Everyone loves a winner, doesn’t matter the sport. A product this good puts butts in the seats.

But our women can shoot, they play hard, the coach brings a ton of energy and they are playing in front of a sold-out PMAC, so it is exciting.

Almost everything you said was accurate. shooting the basketball is actually his team Achilles heel. And before I get showered with a bunch of emotional downdates, every team has a weakness. And this team's weakness is perimeter shooting.

as I've said before, I LOVE Mulkey and I'm very happy our ladies are dominating on the court. I hope they stay undefeated and win it all. I truly do.

But I tried watching the game last night and gave it an honest effort. The big crowd and the white out were great. I loved the energy.

But women's basketball, even at the highest level, is tough to watch. It just is.

When I first started wathching women's basketball, I felt that way too. If you spend more time watching it and getting invested in the players, you don't even notice a difference anymore between their games and the mens. Last night was one of the best games I've ever been to.

certainly getting invested in the players makes a difference, no question.

But come on, now.

Obviously there is a difference in the play, but I'm saying you don't really notice it. At least that's the case for me. I don't watch the women's games and compare it to the men's anymore. I guess because to me it is kinda its own thing.

Lol, plz flip back n forth between this and the men's game on ESPN, and repeat what you said. Skill level actually matters to the most of us.

OK, so you switch back to an NBA game while watching the men play and repeat what you just said.

Better yet switch between your kid's Little League game and the majors and compare the skill level.

I enjoy the Women's game for what it is.

Exactly!

I've been watching women's basketball since Kim Mulkey was playing at LaTech. I'm not going to say I don't notice a difference. There is. What I don't do is COMPARE IT to men's basketball. Men are taller, stronger, faster, and generally have more stamina (although not more SKILLED). I watch it because the games can be just as exciting, and competitive as any other games. I love track and field..............but I don't compare Noah Lyles to Shelly Ann Fraser...........I don't compare Naomi Osaka to Novack Jockovic in tennis. Women compete against women. Men compete against men. Appreciate them all as competitive athletes. Sometimes there's some overlap ..........women shoot a basketball every bit as well as men.............. Olympic women sprinters are generally faster than most NFL football players. Who cares though?

I loved the game against Tennessee last night because it was competitive, it was a HUGE, LOUD crowd, and it was LSU. I'm an LSU alumnus. I support ALL LSU ATHLETES, period. I don't like soccer, swimming, baseball, softball, or volleyball. But I SUPPORT ALL LSU athletes, even if I don't particularly like their sport. Jeesh!

And by the way.................

I can't get into it. The athleticism and ball skills are just not that impressive. The guard looked really good monday night but other than that the play seemed pretty meh

this just isn't true. If men had a bigger hoop can you imagine how much better their shooting would be. Women have smaller ball using same size basket as men.

Yea, problem with your argument is the OP is clearly comparing the NCAA women's to men's.
the skill and athleticism difference is a turnoff for a lot of viewers. LSU and TN are supposed to be two of the best programs in the sport and there were a whole lot of REC level clunkers at the rim last night.

I like the women's using the timeout to advance the ball rule at end of games
Men need to adopt that rule

Women play more fundamental basketball
Men have lost that

This. I LOVE basketball and I find womens basketball extremely boring.

If you match up the 2 best mens team and the 2 best womens teams in the country, the mens game is infinitely more exciting.

This is absolutely not true to me. I've seen MANY women's games as exciting, as the most exciting men's games I've seen in college. But to each his own...
