Was that Clemson team suppose to be special?

I mean they were at 29? win streak and other than them pinning us inside the 5 (which gave them multiple + field position possessions) and a reverse “trick play” they didn’t do jack shite.
TL might be a great QB in the NFL but that dude was rattled all game and he beat Bamas arse last year. Etienne was good but never broke out like he did against everyone else. Should have lost to OSU.
Not saying these teams would have beat Clemson but UGA UF and Bama scared me more than them.

Give LSU all the credit in the world.
That was a team trying to make history with perfect seasons back to back.
I don't think we should be downplaying Clemson at this point.

They were the 2nd best team. They beat OSU.
I do think they have been a little overhyped due to the Bama beat down last year.

Why do some of yall idiots want to put down the teams that we beat?
Those teams being highly ranked and considered good teams is exactly what has us in the conversation for best college football season of all time.

Auburn played us a better game, but Clemson was definitely more competitive than OU or UGA imo.

Clemson's offense was special. The defense was young, especially on the line due to early departures. Outside of Simmons (and I guess their best CB who got torched in the Championship) they really didn't have many playmakers on defense.

Clemson is indeed a special, elite team. We just had a generationally spectacular offense, and our D stepped up after the 1st quarter.
Why are we denigrating Clemson? They're great. We were just greater.

But where you ever in fear of losing the Auburn game? No, not with that putrid offense. That game was more frustrating than anything, with all the points we left out on that field.
I thought Florida played us the toughest. The only team to hold a second half lead against us. And with under 8 minutes to go they were in the redzone trying to tie the game. Nobody else can say that.

Bama with a healthy Tua would have beaten Clemson in 2019 and UGA, UF and, yes, Auburn would have given them hell.
Bama was the best team we played in 2019 and after we got up in the 2nd Quarter, they never had the ball with a chance to take the lead despite the final score.

As for Clemson, tell me which teams were had a 10 point lead on LSU at any point in any game this year?
Either LSU had a great season and beat several really good to great teams or all that is overblown because all those teams were really just overrated pieces of crap teams.

Based on Joel Klatt Ohio St was the real "special" team. He said Ohio St was best team he has seen and years and that they would beat clemson 7/10 times. And this was said after Clemson beat them lol. But 29-0 is special and can't take that away.

Clemson was very good. Not as good defensively as last year, but still very good.

Special? Tough to say when you don't play anyone all season. Simmons was their biggest play maker IMO
This LSU team was a once in a generation team

I truly believe that LSU could have beaten their 2018 NC team, also, LSU isn't Alabama which caved in during that game. The game would have been much closer, but with the way that Big game Joe plays, I think that he would have been the difference as usual in finding ways to secure the victory. Their fans keep saying crap like LSU should be thankful that they didn't play that great team, and instead played this year's slightly more or lesser talented team.
