Was JK Johnson going to be a starter or get significant playing time

He appears to have some ability playing for OSU last year in every game. I haven't followed closely and just learned of his injury and wondered how much it would hurt LSU.

False. He was a starter for half the season at OSU and was a top 50 player by the recruiting sites. By all accounts he was putting himself in a great position. He had as good as a chance as anybody.

He was in the mix to start or at very least be 2nd string. It’s a loss because we’re thin at CB and he is very talented player.

Followed him closely at Ohio State. Dude is a slick athlete, oily in his movements just played timidly, but you could see the talent.
OSU had less talented guys ahead who were absolute dawgs competitively (Cam Brown).
