Deculus almost got Burrow killed on a whiff. He needs to sit.

He has been truly awful at RT, glad Magee was back out there. Instant upgrade when he came in.

Magee needs to start at RT, why it took the coaches this long to figure this out is beyond me. He beat out Deculus going into the season.

Deculus needs to be permanently benched. He is absolutely clueless and ineffective.

He needed to be.

He was giving up the inside. Getting beat outside is one thing, but giving up the inside is the last thing you do.

And he was also struggling getting into position/angles on run blocking.

Worth noting, MSU was guessing against him (UGA did too) and letting a LB or S set the edge (not uncommon). It's extremely difficult for an OLman when they sell out on a gap like that. Deculus just hasn't progressed enough to be able to handle it.

We could have helped a brother out by using that a couple times. That's probably my last significant complaint about E remaining- yeah, it's great to give him a TE and all, but use the weakness they found against them a couple times a game. A chipping TE running a stick route, middle screen, let them overrun it and jet sweep them. A couple times a game will do wonders.

They didn't relace him. They switched to velcro straps

Extremely poor footwork! Can't move, slow and not quick, and not mobile enough... can the coaches work on his footwork?

All this negative talk about a player but when he has a good or great game that goes unnoticed. Do I need to remind everyone that Deculus has been one of the constants since game 2. You may need to rewatch the past games and see how many positive things happened on the right side when he played RT. Also, did any of you Magee fans miss when he was put flat on his butt last night ( a few times) or when any of the other players missed assignments. Yeah, Joe was running for his life. Oh, but you missed that. If you are going to call out a player you need to look at the entire line, because none of them are perfect. If you think the left side is great, you must be overlooking a lot. Don't just call out our o-linemen who is of a different shade than the rest or is that why he is noticed and the others just blend in. Here's a suggestion, ask Joe who he wants to protect him, those that have helped him win this season or the ones that get thrown in when a player has a bad Play??? My guess is he picks those that have provided the constant!

ONE final question, how many of you expert o-line critics have ever even lined up in the trenches? So, maybe you should analyze something you actually have experience at.

You can’t coach faster feet. You either have the quick twitch or you don’t. The mental part is something that can be worked on, but damn he played bad

Or possibly moved into the guard position. I could see them using him as an extra blocker in jumbo sets but he's a liability in pass protection

Yeah, someone needs to show him how to tie his shoes, that's embarrassing at his age.

ETA: Yep, look at his post history. All four posts are bashing Magee or pimping Deculus.

Plenty of idiots in this thread. The guy made a glaring mistake in pass protection and the coaches disciplined him. Good for them! When Magee played poorly at left guard they pulled him, too. This is what accountability looks like. But this talk of benching him permanently is nonsense. The guy is in his second year. Magee didn’t even play his second year, or if he did, not much.

He has been a constant because of injuries and suspensions and had to play. So stfu on that.

Others have missed assignments but not as often as Austin and his missed assignments are complete whiffs and result in extremely negative plays and going to get someone hurt.

You don’t think the coaches are calling him out on his poor play? Grow a pair and stop being a bitch. World of pussies that can’t handle criticism and want to be patted on their arse and told everything is ok.
