Lanning was also a DC with no HC experience. Woody was never going to hire him or Kiff to rebuild LSU at the time.

I also think woodward needs to never offer a contract more than 4/5 years again

Then be prepared to never have a good coach again.

Les kind of fell into it, but overall be was the better. Realizing however, he started off with Sabin's players.

Ok.

Fire woody.

Close mindedness completely screwed us over.

Lanning is a better coach for cheaper and shorter.

Uhh He went to Oregon with loaded talent and roster left from Cristobal playing in a weaker conference

To think Lanning was the right guy in Nov 2021 is something

Same here. He’s the best choice and if you don’t grab him now, he’s going to Florida and is going to haunt us for years.

You have no courage nor testicles.

You would completely write off better candidates because they didn’t fit “the mold” of what a failed AD looks for in a coach.

Continue to genuflect for Woodward.

On paper, BK was a great hire.

In practice, not so much.

They did talk to Mike Tomlin, but he said he wanted to stay in Pittsburgh. If he had known LSU was paying 100 million for 10 years he might have signed up (not saying he didn’t know, he may have, and turned that down anyway).

BK was great for short term to fix coach O’s mess on the chaos inside the program and Woodward wanted a polished button up guy after coach O having a picture out there in bed with a woman lol. Woodward freaked up at giving him a 10 year deal and NIL taking off as he became the coach.

I wanted Lane Kiffin because we would have a great offense and quarterback but I was worried about his recruiting. I remember Ole Miss playing at Tennessee that year and the student sections throwing mustard bottles on the field towards Kiffin on the sideline as he made his return trip to Knoxville after leaving them for USC and I was thinking Woodward will never hire Kiffin with him bringing that kind of attention.

Yep. Spurrier 2.0. I was there for the end of Spurrier 1.0, and it really sucked.

Guy who on multiple occasions called Kelly a home run hire is now going to act like he thought Kelly was a bad hire with multiple years of hindsight

About the 2021 hire?

Hiring BK was a surprise to me in 2021, but I thought it was somewhat of a coup to do that. The cost was what I would think it would take to do that. I don't think it has gone as well as Scott or BK hoped (I was uncertain but, you know, hopeful) nor as bad (yet) as people are making it out to be. In hindsight, if he could poach ND's head coach, why not another one? But I still don't know who would have been a reasonable choice without the benefit of hindsight. At the time, I was not opposed to the idea of Drinkwitz once the Lincoln Riley thing seemed to be a non-starter. I'm even less opposed to that now, if it comes up.

About Kelly's future?

If he ends up with an 8-4 regular season, he probably gets another year to do better, maybe even with a 7-5 regular season. If he ends up with a 6-6 regular season, I could see them moving on. If he loses to WKU and isn't fired, I might be pissed enough not to renew my season tickets.

About McMahon?

I think he is a good mid-tier coach, but may be out of his depth in the SEC. I think this is the year he needs to prove it, and if LSU is not mid-SEC and a bubble team at worst, he should be relieved of his duties (and I think he will be in that case).

And Baseball is gonna win another Natty!

There's my poorly thought-out opinions

I sure hope one of those is what you were asking

I don't know how to respond my brother.

For everyone here, Dom and I have never met IRL. But I know, same as a lot of baws and bawettes that I've me on TD, this side is awesome.

Take a Drizz and Dom.
