I love how this entire board praised Howard as the next Burrow, and has continually said he's easily the most talented QB on the roster - but now that he's transferring, apparently he sucks and it's not a big deal.
The rationalization that people on this board engage in these kinds of situations is becoming way too predictable at this point. There's no self-awareness with any of these posts.

Imagining having such a weak mindset and lack of faith in your ability that you transfer out after your redshirt freshman year because you’ll be a backup. What a shirt sited decision and a bitch move. Especially if he transfers to TCU who got absolutely embarrassed

I never said Howard was the next coming of anything.
Yes, a talented HS recruit, but regardless of how blind posters are, he’s 100% sitting in 3rd place in the QB room in 2023 and 2nd in 2024; barring injuries.

This doesnt work like that. All of you are forgetting we recruit QBs every year. Just because you sit around doesn't mean you are the starting QB your senior year. The best players play, and sitting on the bench for 4 years just means you are setting yourself up to get passed up by the transfer. Look around, game film is what matters. Ya'll cant blame the kid for going elsewhere when he would sit another 3 years and still not be the starter. We could have a younger player pass him up or we could have a transfer from another school.
We are going to see a MASSIVE change very soon in college football. You will see big 5 stars attend smaller schools where they can be the starter, put the film on tape and transfer to a contender. They can make 50k to 100k a year with NIL deals, build their brand and then transfer to the LSU, Bama, Clemson's and double or triple that.

Those guys are, and have been, getting 3-5 times that under the table for decades. They will go to a power program, get payed, not play much their freshman year, and then transfer and get another bag somewhere else.
Guys are not going to risk a HUGE pay day to go play at Tulane with the hopes that they blow up on film and get an LSU offer.
