Apparently Kelly values running QBs more than anything else. Correct me if I’m wrong but has he developed any Top Qbs that went on to be good or decent NFL QBs?

While it's bad and I wanted him here, this is gonna be the future state of the QB room for all major teams. 4 and 5 star guys can transfer and will. Lots of other teams will be in the same boat as us. I'll hang up and listen on this one.....probably the worst part about transfer portal and NIL deals is that these in state die hard LSU kids have much more incentive to leave the state. Louisiana is a very unique and great state rich in culture and resources. Money blinds the true picture

I don’t blame Howard for leaving. It’s in his best interest to transfer. Honestly I think he should’ve done it earlier.

I hate that Kelly came out a week ago and said all 3 QBs were staying. Makes him look stupid now and I’m really tired of stupid coaches.
But if Howard and his dad feel better off leaving then don’t expect to ever be part of this program again.

Bottom line is this is what the transfer portal moving forward is going to look like. The days of stacking multiple 4/5 stars on top of one another (especially at QB) are over. Now if kids don't see a path to starting by year 2 or so aren't going to stick around as long as transfers are penalty-free.
