Trying to make sense of it, but the fact that Kelly has all but said there will be no QB competition helps to explain why Howard left. I wonder what the other details are. Does Kelly think he just is not a very good QB? I see this as a huge failure on the part of Kelly as he recruited the kid. I guess the odds of Nuss leaving are smaller, but why would the presence of Walker Howard affect that? If Nuss leaves...

I called Howard gone long ago long before his not so great performance in the bowl game. I was questioned back then why in the world did I think a LSU “legendary” would even think of leaving. Well, guess he’s gone now. He’d best look to playing in some lower tier competition for quick playing time.
This suck of money and just proves college football with NIL and portal has become the NFL’s paid minor league. Nuss, got a minute?

I hope BK knows what he’s doing. Now JD has to greatly improve his passing game in 2023 and Nuss must be kept on the team at all costs, even if that means a 2-QB system.
If BK has to find another transfer QB, he has to be one as good as, or better than, Walker.
