What are the chances that Lane signs some stud QB next year out of HS or a more experienced QB through the portal and screws Howard over? LOL. You know it will happen.

Be a man. Get better. Show up and show out in the spring.

Dude spent less than a year at LSU.

LSU committing to him made us non competitive and miss out on arch manning and Holstein. How does he repay us? Going to our rival. What a joke

Or, it could have been the kid just didn't like the LSU program, or a coach, or a wide variety of reasons. I was never as high on him as a prospect as many on here (I think he's small and doesn't really have the overwhelming physical traits to overcome that), but I'm not going to criticize a kid for doing what he thinks is best for HIS life.

Oh he didn’t like a coach alright. The one that told him he probably needed to look else for playing time because his odds of ever being a starter at LSU was looking pretty slim. The real reason is out there if you know where to listen. There’s a reason he ended up at a program like Ole Miss (who has a history of taking a specific type of player especially at the QB position). No other program wanted him.

Gawd, you had to bring up that game. I still have nightmares about. Aurbun offense was terrible. The pick sixes were their only offense.

Wish the kid well at Ole Miss...he doesn't owe us anything.
Only doing what many athletes are doing these days, looking for their best opportunity to showcase their talents and maybe take 'em to the next level.

So he goes and sits, or he plays too early when he is not ready, which is what supposedly the family didn't want from the get go.

I think the point is he wants to play and also he will worst case scenario be the backup. So if Dart gets banged up or struggles then Howard comes in and has his shot. Where as at LSU he wasn't going to be the backup.

I will say I still think it was likely that Nuss transferred himself at Spring and that would have allowed for Howard to be the backup but he chose the scenario that was best for him. Best of luck to him. But as I said when it was first announced he was transferring that I am irritated that he went to an SEC West team. I really hate that he went to Ole Miss but don't blame him for leaving.

Very good pickup! What a poor image for him. Almost makes me feel sorry for him. Almost!

Is this where we say that Howard was scared to sit so he transferred?

Let’s face it, in the history of the transfer portal, how many kids that transferred out had major success at the school they Transferred to? I can only think of one right now and that’s Trey Palmer.

So WH is SOFT and DID NOT want to compete for the starting position. Your argument doesn't hold water.

Completely disagree. Recruitment and roster management doesn’t happen in isolation.

Louisiana produced 3 5/high 4 star qbs in 2 consecutive classes. One of which was the number 1 overall. We committed to walker over the other 2. That caused us to not get a serious look from the other two which is fine until he bails after one redshirt year.

Low class IMO.

Could be worse, he could still be white knighting for a failed coach due to a school boy crush on him
