The dam has to break at some point. Hopefully in our favor.

For those that don’t get it, Lowder has ELITE stuff.

This will be a low scoring game.
There is no magic button.. no pep talks about approach. There is nothing you can do but hope for a couple timely hits after a walk or error or two.

Prepare your hearts and strap in.
This is fun.

Add to this:

You can’t sit there and take 2 pitches when they are strikes. Getting his pitch count up only works when he’s throwing balls.

Timing comes from swinging the bat. It pays off (hopefully) in later at bats.

This kid isn’t going to toss this way the whole game. He’s never thrown 100 pitches in any game and he’s only on 4 days rest.

Scores will likely come in later innings.

Relax.

Would love to see more competitive at bats

Thompson has 2 1 pitch at bats so far I think

The only thing that would complete this game for Thompson is a bunt attempt next time.

I know it’s frustrating that our bats haven’t done anything yet, but we are witnessing an epic pitching duel by 2 elite college pitchers.

Everyone complaining about bats, not sure they understand what Lowder is

I just cannot believe JT bats so high in the lineup. It doesn't make sense to me.

Pearson has hit 2 balls fairly hard...just right at guys.

Crews: IF single, groundout
White: K, fly ball
Morgan: groundout, K
Dugas: groundout, single to LF
Beloso: walk, K
Jobert: GIDP, K
Thompson: groundout, groundout
Pearson: groundout, fly ball
Milazzo: groundout

51 pitches through 5 for Lowder. 2 hits.
69 pitches through 5 for Skenes. 2 hits.

They are probably telling Thompson to seing at first fastball because he had been striking out otherwise

Yes it is still an out either way if he can’t di anything with a piped first pitch fastball

First pitch is normally the best pitch you see.
If it’s your pitch, get after it.

I have seen minimal bad swings at first pitches tonight.

Guy has just wicked run and can dot up his spots.

Hey take a couple
Pitches. Good luck sitting 1-2

There is no way anyone has ever had a worse CWS than Thompson. From the strikeouts to the bunts to the errors to the first pitch groundouts. It’s pathetic

Everyone knows it why keep bringing it up?

Watching Lowder pitch is annoyingly impressive. Everything he throws is so close to the zone. It all has ridiculous movement and he puts it anywhere he wants it. Gotta tip your cap to the kid he’s for real.
