Crean is certainly the best resume available and I wouldn't hate the hire. The positive is we know what we're getting with him. But the negative is we know what we're getting with him.
Wade is a bigger risk, but could be a bigger reward in the long run. His age and early success makes me optimistic.
Given the current state of the program, I'm on the fence about which would be better for us right now.

Wade strikes me as the young shot in the arm our program needs, guy seems relentless and the type we need to get people excited about the program again.
I question hiring a guy like crean that just had his dream job ripped from him.

I would love to hear a good argument why Crean is a better hire than Wade using objective facts.
ETA:
By "objective facts" I mean compare their records -both overall and conference-, RPI, recruiting, previous jobs at smaller schools, performance compared to predecessors, trend lines, salary ($ per win), etc.
Then look at age and look at potential to stay long term at LSU.

You don't think I know that? And to posters like you I seriously apologize but when you have these d-bag ppl following you across different threads it gets aggravating. I know it's not an excuse but god there are a lot of them and the level of convo plus the outright lying about my other posts really doesn't help.

So I'm hearing that Tom Crean initiated the contact with LSU, had heard it was the other way around. That's interesting. I'm ambivalent towards Crean, his attitude mostly. Indiana is a nightmare job, unrealistic expectations. Always good to have a fall back.
