When and how did he get hurt? I’ve looked a few times but cannot figure out which hit caused it

Pretty sure it's that play that he was running in the Mizzou game and got laid out. I think somewhere in the second quarter and we were in the redzone

He didn’t take a right when he should have. Not a very smart play

Have you ever had an injury where maybe at first it didn't seem that bad but then when you wake up the next morning you feel like a truck hit you
That's probably what happened
It was an internal injury that he could tolerate initially and played through even though he had some pain
Probably woke up next morning and couldn't move

I don't think this is actually correct. I heard it was on a pass play and he got creamed during/after throwing the ball.

He should have gone out of bounds on that play though. It was stupid.

Torn abdominal muscle I think.

It was one of those two because they happened back to back. He got hammered on the sideline after unnecessarily trying to take on the defender when he easily could have and should have just stepped out of bounds. The next play he got tackled from behind as he was throwing a ball to the endzone. His arm extended to throw as he was being dragged down. The play resulted in a TD and ESPN reported that he went to the tent right after upon getting to the sideline.

His injury is a torn oblique muscle. Certainly him extending his arm while being dragged down from behind could have overstretched the muscle. But that is a relatively common play which often doesn't result in core muscle injuries. On the big hit, his feet were planted and the impact of the defender forced his upper body to jolt back violently. That seemed to be the most likely play on which he was injured. Plus, O said after the game he was injured on the hit.

he didn’t seem hurt or at least he didn’t act hurt when he got up after that play

If you keep watching him while they attend to the hurt UM player, he is grimacing before the huddle.

Also, the TD on that play. He goes down on his knee while keeping his torso upright. Could have been that play. He looks like his is walking with trainers after that TD.

Looks to me like Brennan would rather milk it then go to battle with his teammates.

He stayed in the game. And let's get a little more history than just this before we judge so broadly.

The entire 2nd half he was in immense pain and still had the best half of his career. He's tried to practice.

LSU is probably being cautious because they did play Burrow while he was hurt and it was a disaster.

I don’t know man. I went back and re-watched it and it didn’t look like he was hurting when he threw that touchdown pass but it looked like he was a little gimpy when he got up from the hit after the td

Damn, some of our "fans" really are despicable people.

It may have been at the 15:43 mark. The way he got up after that awkward tackle, he was hurting, he didn’t even want his teammates touching him.
