My entire family went to LSU. My kids will not.
The wife and I met at LSU and graduated 10-12 years ago and it wasn’t this bad. We settled down around BR because it was middle ground between our families, and our jobs kept us here. LSU is a special place to us.

Nowadays, I would not send a kid to LSU, especially a daughter, unless they clean up Baton Rouge. And not just campus, the entire surrounding area.

I think most of the issues are being caused by either friends and family of those students or people with no affiliation at all just coming to party and act like fools.

I think this is 99% of it. It's become a place they can act like hooligans without getting in trouble and that needs to end.

We can change the culture pretty quickly if we start ticketing/arresting people, increase police presence in certain areas, and honestly we should shut down some of the music playing that's insanely loud and vulgar.

Apparently you do not live in Portland, where white liberal/communist scum riots and LEO losers in charge that actually coddle and promote said activity. PNW has it's issues too.

Hate to say it, but those are the two schools id send my son to as far as feeling he would be on a safe campus.

Law enforcement should make an example out of those two. Clearly breaking the law. Five years in prison with hard labor. Give them the max, make an example.

Ruining a good time for everyone else.

Saw this video on Instagram today. This wasn’t a shooting, but could have been awful. Add it to the list of incidents and near misses.

Not sure if there’s another way to link for users without Instagram.

And, the cops are more scared of them than they are of the cops.

Tate started this crap and now he runs to Rutgers, like a coward.

Funny how a friend and i noticed this when driving acroas campus and now there's threads about this very thought.

It's gotten to carnival cruise levels.

There used to be ways to do the things that needed to be done that police couldn’t or wouldn’t do. The Cotton Club lasted for a long time on Highland and was not messed with. We need some of this now.

Wow. I’m glad I got to experience LSU game days on campus from 2001-2005

Those were the best years in tiger stadium ever. That was right when lsu started to get good and the atmospheres were always electric.

Law enforcement needs other responsibilities besides directing traffic. They need to dispatch officers who can actually arrest people. Park two prison trasnport vans at both trouble locations and dispatch nonuniform offers to mengle in the crowds and start enforcing the weed laws and question others under probably cause. Once word gets around that the block is hot, the trouble makers will leave.
