Both look like they can swing the bat well. I favor Chinea as a hitter over Barash by a slim margin. I love the way Chinea swings the bat like its his last swing. The kid hits the ball hard.

How good are the freshmans bats?

If Barash is going to play, he'll have to learn the proper home run hand off technique while rounding third base.
He really blew it Tuesday night.

They project Fraley higher than what we've been thinking here fwiw.
Tell me he's at least not Group 1

No they have him in group two and at the end of his report it says they expect him between the 4th and 7th. I guess that really isn't a surprise just from a talent standpoint but I've been thinking/hoping that signability for someone in that range would push him much lower.
I'll give a breakdown of the signees by group later. I think we only have two in the top group so far, maybe only one.

I know Williams is definitely group 1, didn't know we'd have another, Longhi?

The first thing I thought when he rounded third was "aw shite, he fumbled."

Yeah, just double checked and he is.
Outside of Williams it looks like we have several of the 4-7 types mentioned above. Some of them may be picked there and some may drop much lower. One thing about the CBA is you'll pretty much know if they will sign based on where they are picked. Teams aren't likely to spend a top 10 round pick on someone if they aren't reasonably sure they can sign them because they would then lose that slot value from their pool.

Starting off with a three game series against. Arizona State at the Box.

Crap, really sucks.
Guessing some combination of Jarret DeHart, Jake Fraley, Kramer Robertson, Dylan Williams, Danny Zardon and maybe David Palladino?

I don't believe Zardon was listed, but it could easily have been an oversight since Florida is so deep. Palladino was definitely in group two. DeHart in "Prospects to Watch".
I don't think D. Williams or Robertson were listed, but those are deep states also. I've seen Robertson rated pretty high by other sites. Williams may be a tough sign. He was committed to Georgia Tech, so school may be important to him.

How are these two in terms of fielding?
Robertson is more fluid, he played SS in highschool but will slide in perfectly at 2B in college. You're prototypical lead off guy. Started QB so he's an outstanding athlete.
Zardon is here for his bat.

Glenn if he continues to improve will be a solid second starter. ? is 3rd starter.
Also we have to replace 2 solid bat in our line up and probably 2 good defensive players in our lineups. (Ross and Jones are probably gone correct?)
