Why do you think they haven't? Harvard learned long ago it's more profitable to cultivate CEOs instead of RBs and WRs.

One of the worst last year, but potentially a turnaround team and the 4th best basketball program historically in the SEC.

Lsu basketball has fallen further than I thought if fans are gloating over a mid major losing their coach.

100% My thought. I'm a little embarrassed and hope the VCU fans aren't seeing this.

You people should really get out more.

Virginia Commonwealth University

Endowment: 1.638 billion

Total enrollment: 31,242

LSU

Endowment: 788 million

Total enrollment: 31,527

Endowment has little to do with an athletic budget

This new coach has some advantages at LSU. One of them is sitting across the street from the PMAC and is usually open about six or so Saturdays in the fall. Then there is the LSU contingent. Many folks I have seen go through the football or basketball programs were taken care of in some manner (job, etc.) as long as they kept their noses clean and were faithful to the school and its athletic program. Granted there have been exceptions, but this guy will have a hell of a lot easier time recruiting at LSU. I figure there are going to be some growing pains in the program is this guy is any type of disciplinarian, so don't be too surprised at a couple of early departures/transfers. It's no longer the hood or the barbeque gang. We are hopefully on our way back to being a legit men's BB program.

Yeah, because endowment equals salary budget...

If that were the case, then the Ivy's would still be tearing shite up.

I mean I'd be too if our coach continually got poached.

Yeah, it sucks, but since '02 VCU has had 4 coaches, and 10 visits since '04. Has also moved from the CAA, to A10(which a year or two, may of been better than the SEC). I won't be upset. Especially since they are paying more for basketball.
I hope this works out for both. We get our coach, and VCU gets another good one to further the program.
