In the case of knowing the reigning national champions are interested in you and there is a bona fide superstar in front of you, it makes perfect sense and Barnum would no doubt appreciate the honesty.

Or do you suggest Kim bullshite her along, telling her she is LSU’s first choice transfer post when everybody and their mother knows that’s not true?

Good night, that team would not only be NC favorites, there’s an almost even chance it goes undefeated.
So no +5000 odds this year?

This has seriously been super hush everything about this visit. It’s amazing that they are so quiet. I take it as a good sign that they are dragging it out for a big announcement soon to come. We make way too much sense. HVLSU

Kim sat on multiple commitments last year and didn’t announce them until the last minute all at once. Angels came later mostly because she wanted to announce it on her birthday

She's gonna come and go crazy on the court and change her name to Hailey Van Lithium

How about telling her she's a great player and LSU would love to have her. Spell out the current roster alignment, what she can bring to LSU and where she would fit in. Acknowledge we have so many spots open for her position and othe transfers are showing interest. She can figure out on her own that LSU might prefer HVL, but I wouldn't think you come right out and say we want this other girl more than we want you. Good grief.

She’s not competing for a spot with HVL; Van Lith is a guard. But if LSU gets Morrow, Barnum is not coming here to sit on the bench and there’d be no room for her anyway if Morrow signs.

Barnum knows the score that Morrow is the top choice forward of every program out there that has a halfway reasonable shot of landing her. I think it telling that Barnum has not yet signed with a program that knows they have no shot at Morrow.

So with that in mind, if you want to continue to nonsensically nit-pick over this “second choice” verbiage, go ahead and be my guest. Kim knows how to get the message across and I’m sure she will, if it comes to that. There. Does that calm you down?

Not a chance. +600 on FanDuel. And that's before any potential star transfers. (UCONN is on top at +500).

There’s some good stuff in that article but holy shite they hate mulkey Then there’s this juicy bit:

quote:

We just don’t need a Van Lith transfer because it would elevate women’s college basketball to its rightful place. We need it so that America will be forced to deal with its willful racism and hatred of Black women.

I followed a link from your story to here:

Baylor coach Kim Mulkey has a history of putting her foot in her mouth

...because I was curious about why the media hates Mulkey.

They gave me this:

quote:

“I’ve been every time for every president,” Mulkey said. "It’s not a political issue for me. It’s an honor to go to the White House. I want everyone to say they went to the White House. Not many people can say that.” Mulkey went on to mention her teams “were honored” when they made visits to see President Bush and President Obama in the past.

quote:

“I understand her points, without a doubt. But I’m of the belief, I want the best person for the job. I have a son, and I would be honored if my son wanted to coach next to me.” Those were Mulkey’s words during the Final Four in a rebuttal to Notre Dame head coach Muffet McGraw’s impassioned speech on women’s equality and why she wouldn’t hire another male coach on her staff.

quote:

“I’m happy for Baylor University. Plaster that on the front page of every national newspaper. It doesn’t get any more positive than this.”

quote:

“If somebody’s around you and they ever say, ‘I will never send my daughter to Baylor,’ you knock them right in the face.”

quote:

“It was a recruiting thing. The coaches thought that if it seemed like they condoned it, people wouldn’t let their kids come play for Baylor." That’s what former Baylor star Brittney Griner told ESPN back in 2013 about what Mulkey told her players about not being open publicly about their sexuality.

So, basically not getting political and defending her employer, has put her on "cancel alert".

It's officially, official, I love that woman. I hope she stay's at LSU forever.

It cracks me up how many threads about WBB now compared to other off seasons.

Kim Mulkey just has IT.
