Much lower percentage for a base hit with 2 outs plus you can’t assume the runner would score from 2nd anyway.
This is simple baseball. Letting him swing away almost and should have bitten Paul in the arse. We just got lucky.

There isn’t an argument you can make against the percentages for success. You also can’t argue that we just got lucky they shite the bed on defense, finally.
