Most of Gervase's balls aren't even close to strikes. He's not going to get balls 2 inches outside the zone called strikes when he's not even coming close to hitting his target on most of his pitches

He's getting squeezed at the bottom of the zone really bad. If the ump isn't calling them, I agree, he's not throwing strikes. That doesn't mean the strike zone is ok.
I will say though, he's calling it the same way for both teams. It's just hurting us more.
