Yea ok SEC....This will lead to super conferences and the SEC will be no more...Too much money involved...What does the SEC actually bring to the table today and moving forward...And again what did Kiffin and LSU actually do...

I very much doubt he will be suspended. LSU will be fined though and probably put on probation.

If he’s suspended more than a game, LSU will push back

That article is one of the most biased things I have read in a while, which is an impressive statement. According to his LinkedIn, Matt Hayes went to UF and damn he must be bitter his school couldn't hire Kiffin.

Timing is everything and does not work on behalf of the corrupt SEC.

NCAA creates/changes eligibility ? courts say these players can use it ? players start attempting to return ? LSU starts bringing former NFL players back ? SEC creates a new conference rule preventing it.

That's not speculation. The contemporary reporting explicitly describes the SEC rule as coming “in the wake of a court order in Louisiana granting several undrafted free agents an unexpected fifth year.”

And there's another very interesting piece:

On August 29, after another Louisiana court order, the SEC actually told the plaintiffs' lawyers that it would comply with the court order permitting the players to return. That temporarily appeared to clear the way for LSU to add Wright and Harris.

Then the SEC changed tactics and went after LSU through federal court.

This question gets to the heart of the controversy

The SEC's position isn't simply:

“These players were never eligible.”

It is more complicated:

The court says they have eligibility under the new NCAA framework, while the SEC says that, regardless of NCAA eligibility, SEC member schools may not roster players who previously entered the professional ranks.

And the SEC rule was adopted after the court rulings created the possibility of those players returning.

That's a very important distinction if you're trying to determine whether LSU was actually violating an existing rule or whether the SEC essentially created a new conference restriction in response to the court ruling and LSU's attempt to use those players.

There is one more wrinkle that I think is especially important for what you've been investigating: the SEC rule covers much more than players who actually played in the NFL. Someone who merely signed an NFL contract could be barred. Someone who was merely on an NFL roster could be barred. Someone who declared for the draft and didn't withdraw could be barred.

That is why the Harden (SMU)question and the other non-LSU players are potentially very important. The SEC has stepped in it in a big way if they don't back off real quick.

Nope. LSU do not kneel down to this you fight it with lawsuits and if they expel you, fight it with more lawsuits. Absolutely not.

Have said it this entire time. This is just pure corruption. This is so stupid. Everyone is being disingenuous and intellectually dishonest. They cannot remove their bias and keep pushing this narrative so its entirely likely this is where the situation ends but its complete bullshite.
