Murray never had a good attitude. This isn’t surprising.

It's going to be painful, but I am fine with a complete rebuild of the roster if that is how it plays out.
I also want McMahon to bring in some talented asst. coaches. Heiar was Wade's only really good asst. coach IMO.

You people realize he is playing his options and allowing lsu to recruit him as well.

You didn’t like him losing his man on defense and then pointing at others as if it was their fault?

Here’s what i would do if i was a player on this team:
Mwani- I’d probably go to the portal and reach out to a few particular schools, somewhere like San Diego St, but keep my options open especially if McMahon sells me on playing a greater role, I’ll still technically have 2 years left after next season.
Fudge- similar to above, but would strongly consider returning and actually being a go-to guy even if we suck or there won’t be a postseason. Still has 3 years of eligibility. He might just be the main guy next year if he were to return.
Williams- for some reason, probably because he was a Wade/Nickelberry recruit and was hurt/didn’t play much(i think the plan was initially to redshirt) i feel he’ll go. Like Fudge it’s a tough one because you have 3 years left: do you say “ok, i might play for an ineligible team but I’ll have a huge role, and still have 2 years to play and can reassess after this season. Or do you say “I’ve got 3 years: let me try and find a long term home.”
Shareef- You could do worse than growing up as Shaq’s son, but for all the fame he has really been through a lot. Does he want to transfer AGAIN? Or finish out at LSU like his dad. If i were him I’d probably stay until i graduated, play a big role, then maybe grad transfer somewhere if there are indeed sanctioned
Miller- Poor guy just got here and never played. Given how many suitors he’ll surely have (Illinois fans have been very vocal about wanting him back) and how easy it is to transfer i see him leaving. Was crushed he never got to play.
Eason- I’d have signed with an agent yesterday
Murray- obviously on his way out which was always likely.
Reid- same, likely to leave because as much as he frustrated Rantards, there’s a good player in there . He will have lots of suitors. You almost have to hit the portal if you’re a guy like him or Murray just to assess your options. You can always remove your name from the portal if something changes and they’re holding a spot for you. I said yesterday if i was him I’d be trying to reach out to somewhere like Purdue.
Gaines- people will love the notion of adding an athletic guard like him. He’s going to have tons of options. Think he’ll go especially if dark clouds are looming.
Ezewiro and Colbert? I’d probably stay another year but again, they had other top schools chasing them out of hs and if they enter the portal to assess their options it’ll be that way again. Colbert i think was an Armstrong recruit so maybe that pushes him towards leaving. For as little as those guys played they could probably get a redshirt
Edwards- give me the rock and you guys will be saying Chris Jackson who?

Yes, as my 1,062 paragraph post above mentioned
However it’s very unlikely he returns

Well played.

It was more him pouting back down the court when he missed a shot. Him slumping his shoulders and pouting back down the court when he had a shot blocked. His body language was always terrible.

Bingo. Murray had a shitty attitude all season long. Maybe he was upset wade didn’t pay more for him.

Wonder if he'll end up at Georgetown with Nickelberry.
I think that is going to happen. The Hoyas need some shooters.

McMahon should have tried to keep Nickleberry to keep some of this roster
You guys need to let go of the idea that this could be a quick rebound.
LSU, right it wrong, made a decision that indicated it needed to clean up the program. People won’t admit it, but it’s very possible LSU needs to separate from the current roster.
It’s a mistake to assume that keeping talent from this years team is a viable option.

Murray will do a lot better than Maryland. He could go wherever he wants this off-season.
LSUs roster is full of hot commodities.

The only silver lining is that there are going to be some very talented players in the portal who did not like sitting behind super seniors. While a post season ban is almost assured, LSU games will still be televised and the lure of playing time could possibly draw some players.
Does anyone know if a postseason ban would also affect the SEC tournament?

This is disappointing. I really liked watching him play. Although it seemed he was never really gelled with the rest of the team. Might be nothing or his personality but just seemed not to be part of the team.
With that said, I wish he was staying. He is super talented.
