IMO, if McMahon wants a shot at salvaging anything from the roster he should consider retaining Tasmin on staff. Taz knows the state AAU scene. He knows the SEC. He knows LSU. That could be of great benefit to a new coach who is unfamiliar with the landscape. Most importantly, he knows the players on this roster. He could potentially provide the level of comfort needed to encourage some of them stay.
I'm not saying he could get everyone to stick around, but even just keeping 3-4 guys from the roster would be a boost for next year.

I could MAYBE see the likes of Fudge and Justice staying and playing a ton of minutes, maybe put themselves in the shop window for next spring if we do get sanctioned and they want to move on.

IIRC, Auburn was the team that finished "second" for Murray. Pearl and Wade had a good relationship. They shared a similar mindset when it came to building a program. So it's not surprising they liked a lot of the same players.
You can bet Pearl is looking at the LSU roster and salivating about potentially grabbing a player or two

All due respect, they will never quit regardless. You are mistaken if you think Forde will stop. 10 years ago Forde and a bunch of Yahoo losers wrote hit pieces on Tyrann Mathieu and LSU and have not stopped Wade or not.

Auburn makes it past the 2nd round if they had Murray. Their 2 guards are extremely overrated. I think Murray would easily start for them at SG
