I am kind of wondering how large buyouts are going to work with shared revenue.

He should be fighting for his job this year, but but thanks to Woody negotiating against himself, it's not going to happen.
As much as I was hesitant about Tate, he did a pretty good job. Thinking about who Landry choosing the next one should give all LSU fans stomach acid buildup.

Landry went so far as to meddle in LSU's student government elections this Spring to try to get an additional seat/vote on the BOS (student government president from one of LSU system schools gets a seat [and vote] on the BOS).

Tate was the Kip Holden of University Presidents. The optics weren't good before he took the job but the man did a pretty solid job and didn't bring any of the nonsense people predicted.
Kip was the only dem I ever voted for, and I kinda feel the same about Tate.
Landry will frick this up, Middleton is gonna be renamed the Dudley Debosier Morris Bart library at the McKernan Quad by year's end.

I will admit I hated the Tate Hire and thought he was going to be horrible for LSU. I was very wrong as Tate has been a great president. I hate to see him go but do understand Louisiana politics and the crap he must have to deal with on a daily basis.

Not to speak ill of the dead, but didn't Kathleen Blanco and her husband try to do the same thing while she was in office? Only in Louisiana are people stupid enough to not see that having a strong flagship university is good for the state as a whole. No matter what ULL does, it will never be LSU's equal.
