Yea, I started to get nervous when all those folks were suddenly leaving. Felt like it was only a matter of time before Tate bolted too.

This website melted hard about Tate and one of the first things he did was allow frats back on the parade grounds

What does that have to do with his overall tenure at LSU and how does allowing frat bros on the parade ground help LSU as a whole?

Not to mention he stirred up racial animus with Muh Can’t Breathe.

Wouldn’t be so sure. Id bet he’s on the list to be the next university president.

That is Scott's goal. Don't know if this is the right time or not.

Tate has done a fantastic job at LSU.

Rutgers has double the endowment of LSU and it doesn’t have to be split amongst a bunch of scrubby state schools

Confirmed that he is leaving

This is a big loss for LSU as Tate was a fantastic president.

100% Gov Landry will frick this up. Everything Landry touches turns to shite. Worst Governor since Blanco

No way in hell Scott will be on Jeff’s list, not exactly aligned politically and he doesn’t owe Scott any favors to get on the list anyway

This is just domino 1 of MAJOR changes in LSU’s athletic department in the next year ( I know Tate isn’t just athletics but he was Woodward’s boss).

I really hate hearing this news and I thought President Tate did a wonderful job at LSU.

As a Texas republican and LSU alumnus, I detest the idea of Governor Landry making this choice.

I also think that the President should be of the entire system and split the duties and hire a Chancellor to run the Baton Rouge campus only like it was in the past until Jindumb cut the budget from LSU and almost destroyed our university

Yeah he really has, every metric went in the right direction.

And I'm no Landry fan but President of the State University System is kinda a big pearl, its a big appointment and I dont blame him for wanting that. This looks like a nice compromise for all involved.

Just hope Landry doesnt appoint a good ol boy, but I bet thats what he does.

History and sociology departments are about to be controlled so that only Jeff Landry's approved narrative of American and world history can be discussed. Study of history and society as anything other than white enlightenment and black savages is about to disappear.

Losing Tate is a big loss for LSU and LSU Athletics. Tate was a big supporter of LSU athletics and had brought LSU academics to the next level. I am sorry to see him go.

Yea unfortunately this feels like a step back for LSU and Landry likely promised this one long ago to someone in the GOB network since he’s been running for governor for 10+ years now, lots of IOUs to make good on
