This shite is hilarious..... Some have wanted Les fired for ruining the D with a horrible hire he hasn't even made.
I think Les understands this part of the game very well. Also, he may need multiple people asking high salaries to get AD to pony up more to get who he really wants. Either way, bunch of smoke.
Now, if we end up with a piss poor hire, I will bring the gasoline to the stadium for the burning.

Does Les give out false leads just to keep people off the real track of who he wants?

I'd be totally satisfied with Shoop being hired. People say Stoops is getting a courtesy interview.. What does Miles owe to him to give him that? Kinda confusing

I'll put it this way. My source has multiple sources... I've known him and his family for years, his connections to the AD, coaching staff(s), former players and even some agents. It's ok if you don't believe me. It's not my job to convince you either. But let me ask you one question, "Do you really believe that every coach who gets interviewed for a job (either at LSU or otherwise) gets reported?"
Think about that. This thing has been tight lipped the whole way through. Only CP has been reported as contacted, today Shoop and Stoops. Do you really think they haven't spoken to or met with anyone else for the last 4 days? Do you think Les and his agent are reaching out to people, meeting and then calling the paper?
Kevin Steele was in NOLA two nights ago. Is it hard to believe he interviewed the next day in BR?
Don't think for a minute the AD/LSU/Les don't have some professional courtesy with the papers about what gets reported on these types of things.

Thank you to all for posting the info you have received. I don't understand why some are clogging the board accusing others' info as being BS. If you don't believe someone, ignore the poster. I for one appreciate having the info that is being posted. Time will tell if it is true.

See this makes sense.
Maybe someone can call BS in this. But in today's day and age where practically everything gets to the internet in 5 seconds after happening, that Miles and his agent could keep under raps their true #1 candidate from everyone and than suddenly they interview stoops and he is the guy.
No disrespect to mytigger, but your story reeks of bad info.
What it appears like is that one guy in OK said stoops would get the job, but none of the insiders actually connected to LSU has heard this. (I mean Shea Dixon, Sonny Ship, and Jim Kleinpeter) Both of them have actually said they don't believe they will be offered the job and this is just a move to get him more money. tigger is the only guy with LSU sources who has said Stoops will get the job.

I'm not asking you to name your source. What I'm saying is that it's your word against many people with the exact same if not more connections. They all disagree with you, except one guy in Oklahoma.
