With all due respect, Shea doesn't work for LSU and I'm sure they don't call him everytime they make a move. My guess is they probably ask him to keep his mouth shut in certain situations.
I didn't see him report Venables having been interviewed, or that Muschamp's agent was their first meeting, or that Miles had spoken to Clancy last Monday before the bowl game.
I know Shea is great and all but the discussion doesn't end on his word - or lack thereof.

I don't think miles hires stoops.
Everyone's gonna feel foolish if by Tuesday CP is the DC and people are ready to kill Miles tonight when he hasn't even made the hire yet.

My point was Vennebles "wears on" coaches that he is on staff with.

If Les cares at all about his future at LSU, I'm sure he wouldn't make such a career-ending hire.
Keep in mind, all this talk about our next DC still does nothing to address our consistent anemic offenses.
He really can't afford to not go balls to the wall right now.
