I was at LSU during the Nikita Wilson, Don Redding, Shaq, Chris Jackson years when LSU basketball was riding high. I remember camping out with friends 2-3 days before games just to make sure we could get a student ticket to the next game. Those were really good times and created a lot of good memories.
When WW was here I felt like he was trending the basketball program back to those times, despite all the obstacles like negative press and unsupportive administrators.

And just like Freeze, he’s probably stupid and arrogant enough to keep doing things that will frick up his next opportunity when it comes.

This may be the dumbest thing I’ve ever read on tRant. Seriously. Top 5 without question.
Saban won National titles in 4 years or less at two straight programs in a sport where it’s 1000 times harder to rebuild quickly. He’s considered one of the best recruiters of all time in any college sport, as well as one of the best defensive coaches of this generation.
Wade was good. No one paying attention disputes that. But he’s not remotely close to Saban at ANYTHING. Not program building, recruiting, X and O coaching, not getting caught handling program business, etc. That’s not an insult to the man. It’s just the honest truth.

Saban was a great Xs and Os coach (when he was younger) and an elite recruiter.
He may not be cutting edge defensively but he’s still smart enough to continuously make good coordinator hires because he knows enough about what’s going on to determine who is good.

I also said they couldn’t find proof which is why it was taking so long. Which once again if all they have is that he paid off a scorned girlfriend that’s pretty accurate that they couldn’t find proof that our guys were paid.
Yeah pearl got it for a bbq but he knew that was actively a violation and told the recruits and their families to lie about it.

This really isn’t hard. The paper trail from that whole situation links the payments to players or a handler directly back to Wade. They are just using her to get something that is most definitely in their rule book.
Also, the NCAA isn’t some court of law when it comes to evidence. It’s bullshite, but if they have it out for you, they will bend and make up rules to get you on something.
