Hate to hear this for anyone. For the life of me I don’t understand how we have yet to find a cure for that awful disease. Ben, I hope your final days are as comfortable as they can be. I also pray for peace and comfort for your wife and family. May God wrap his comforting arms around them and give them the strength that they will need in the coming days.

It takes a real strong man to post something with so much light in it in the darkness of facing death. Bless you and I wish you nothing but peace.
If you must pass, since this is an LSU sports site, I hope your passing is as peaceful as the trumpet solo in the song below, the last song LSU's band plays after every football game.

I lost my grandfather last month after battling cancer and deciding he’d rather be at home on hospice with his family during his final days.
After seeing it first hand my thoughts and prayers go out. There’s nothing more heart wrenching than seeing them wither away to nothing after fighting so hard.
