I brought some friends in from texas and they were in love with the tailgating but the game was not what they expected from all things said about tiger stadium... Noticed mostly old people and little kids. I'm hoping it was just because of the heat.. We will see in November

I remember when players used to comment on how electric the crowd was....

I have a buddy coming in for A&M. He went to LSU-Ole Miss 2010 so he knows what it CAN be, I was thinking the A&M game this year would be more epic...but I am doubting that now.

I just got back from a year long deployment, bought tickets while I was overseas, to the remaining home games and Florida was my first one back... I was so let down by the crowd. It was my first game in a few seasons, since I have been away for so long and I couldn't get over how many empty seats there was, and how boring the crowd was

Day game atmosphere has never been that great. Some of my friends said it got pretty hot.
A night game in tiger stadium is definitely a different atmosphere. It's crazy the disparity.

He's trolling and for good reason. We need the fan support to step even more against A&M

That hasn't been the case this year. Rent a wins, rain, whatever excuse the no shows want to come up with, but the atmosphere has been nothing special at night.

One of the best ever was a day game vs. Georgia in '03.

What I don't get is where we're the tickets? Saw nothing on marketplace. If people were going to treat this like Troy st then why we're the only avail tickets for sale going for 100 each?

I thought the scene on campus for tailgating was more rowdy and packed as its been all year (I know not many high caliber games to compete with thus far)
I was very surprised that the stadium just never got electric after what I saw outside the stadium before the game. Hope things improve

Yeah...CBS 2:30 games suck...2008 Bama, 2010 Bama, 2010 Ole Miss, 2011 Arkansas, 2008 Georgia, 2010 Tennessee, etc, etc.
The crowd was electric in those...obviously some were bigger games than others...but still.
I miss the days when Dorsey would just wave to the crowd telling us to get load, and the roar was deafening.

You didn't have to waive it. You could keep it.

the crowd just isn't into it this year. I notice it on TV, and people that usually don't watch games with me are noticing it too.
I'm not saying this is the entire reason, but I think a big reason is Alabama fatigue. Obviously they have won three of the last four BCS titles. The "Mulligan" of 2011 and their quick move back up to the top two after losing to aTm last year combined with the release of the 2013 "bridge" schedule (which was tailor-made for Bama to have a cake walk into the BCSNCG) has made LSU fans wary of becoming excited about the season. We all know that no matter what happens, EVEN IF LSU BEATS ALABAMA ON THE FIELD, it won't count. Bama will get another chance.
LSU did everything right in 2011. Still got screwed. Fans are just a bit gun shy while Alabama is still a viable option for the BCSNCG.
It's difficult to get excited when you know that Bama will get all of the advantages and favoritism.

Who gives a shite if it was hot, if you have a ticket, then go. For those that don't live in BR and have to drive in, it's a luxury just to go to a game, so stay and be loud

Anthony Johnson knows it. Our fanbase just sucks this season.

Its simple, day game in the heat.

Excuses, excuses. As others have posted, there have been plenty of day games with electric atmospheres. And explain the lack of interest in night games this year.
